Quality at Chiranjiv Steel Centre is taken care of before it goes into our stock. Every plate is matched to its certificate for heat number, plate number, thickness and supply condition, and it keeps that identity through cutting and loading.
Certification
Dual Certification & Testing
Every plate in stock carries dual certification to ASTM A516 Gr 70 and ASME SA516 Gr 70 as standard. That dual stamp is the baseline against which every delivery gets measured. The testing and certification options available are listed below.
- Mill Test Certificates conforming to EN 10204 3.1 accompany each consignment; third-party witnessed EN 10204 3.2 certification is available on request.
- HIC tested heats come with the NACE TM0284 test report for that heat, giving the CLR, CTR and CSR values.
- Ultrasonic Testing per ASTM A435 or A578 to check for internal flaws
- Charpy V-Notch Impact Testing on coupons cut from stock plates
- Positive Material Identification (PMI) to verify chemistry on-site
Approved Mills
All plates come from three approved mills JSW, JSPL, and AM/NS India, each consistently producing material that meets the chemical and mechanical requirements of A516 Gr 70 under controlled rolling conditions.

If your specification calls for impact testing, third-party inspection, or certification beyond Type 3.1, tell us at enquiry stage. We will confirm what falls inside our supply range before you release the order.
